Imo Labour Party Gov Aspirant Anumudu Found Dead In Lagos home

A frontline aspirant for the Labour Party governorship ticket in Imo State, Humphrey Anumudu, has been found dead in his Lagos house.

Anumudu, a native of Mbieri Ancient Kingdom in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, was reportedly found dead after returning from a meeting at the LP secretariat in Abuja.

A family friend who spoke on the condition of anonymity confirmed his death.

According to him, he died on Friday evening in Lagos.

Until his death, Anumudu was a multi-billionaire businessman and politician who had been contesting the governorship seat of the state since 1998.

The Chief Executive Officer of Globe Motors was said to have won the Peoples Democratic Party governorship primary in the state in 1998 before the ticket was given to Achike Udenwa who went on to rule the state between 1999 and 2007.
