There was deafening ovation, with people screamed and clapping as Labour party presidential candidate in the February 25, 2023 election, Peter Obi, stormed the International Convention Center in Awka Anambra, venue of Governor Charles Soludo’s ‘One Year In Office’ event.
Governor Soludo was addressing guests at the event when Mr. Obi arrived and loud cheers erupted, disrupting Soludo’s speech.
He acknowledged Obi’s presence and waited for the ovation to die down before he continued his speech.
Among the dignitaries present were the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party LP in the February 25 election, Mr Peter Obi, first civilian governor of the state, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu who was chairman of the occasion, leaders of the various political parties in the country, and the former national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Oye.
