Ramatu Kyari, wife of the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari, on Monday, slumped at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
She slumped shortly afterJustice Emeka Nwite, deferred the ruling on applications that DCP Kyari and six other persons facing drug trafficking charge with him, filed to be released on bail pending the determination of the case against them.
The trial was then adjourned till March 28 for the determination of the bail application.
The judge also ordered that Kyari and six others be remanded in NDLEA custody.
The middle-aged woman, wearing a black Hijab, fainted while armed operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, were leading Kyari and the others away from the court premises.
She was carried and rushed into one of the offices on the third floor of the court by some officials of the NDLEA and lawyers.
Ramatu Kyari was said to be asthmatic and receiving treatment to resuscitate her as at the time of filing this report.
