They Want To Declare Friday Public Holiday Over Fear Of Tinubu Disqualification By Supreme Court- Hundeyin Raises Alarm

Investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, has alerted Nigeria over a plot to declare Friday Public Holiday, in a bid to stall the supreme court judgement slated for same day.

The Supreme Court had fixed May 26 to deliver judgment in a case by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seeking the disqualification of President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu and Kassim Shettima, the vice-president-elect.

The PDP prayed the apex court to reverse the Court of Appeal judgment, led by Justice James Abundaga, which held that the party failed to establish its locus standi.

PDP’s suit is seeking the disqualification of Tinubu over double nomination of his deputy, Shettima, whom they said was a Senatorial and vice presidential candidate at the same time.

In a tweet on Monday, Hundeyin said the president elect is “trying to lean on @MBuhari to declare a public holiday on Friday 26 May.”

He tweeted, “Information reaching me now from an insider is that @officialABAT is trying to lean on @MBuhari to declare a public holiday on Friday 26 May, which is the date the supreme court is supposed to deliver the judgment that could disqualify him.

“He has also tasked Lagos State governor @jidesanwoolu and his money launderer-in-chief Gilbert Chagoury to raise a total of N100bn with which to approach the supreme court justices.

“Sunlight is the best disinfectant so kindly retweet!”
