Dame Dorothy Nsonma Ihedioha (Nee Okereke), the mother of former Imo State Governor Chief Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has died at the age of 90.
Her death was announced in a terse message on Friday, personally signed by Mr. Ihedioha, on behalf of the family.
He said his mother passed on after “a fruitful and eventful life of God’s abundant mercies and grace”, barely eight months after celebrating her 90th Birthday.
According to him, she “transited to eternity on Thursday 20th April 2023 in Abuja, with her family by her side.”
On behalf of his family, he thanked “friends and well wishers who identified with us, particularly during our mother’s last days, we enjoin you to remember the family in your prayers.”
Ihedioha added that Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
