The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, has set aside the tribunal judgement which nullified the election of Ademola Adeleke as Osun State Governor.
In a unanimous decision by a three-member panel of Justices, the court upheld the appeal of Adeleke against his sack by the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, saying it was meritorious.
The appeal court, in its lead judgement that was delivered by Justice Mohammed Lawal, also awarded N500, 000 cost against the All Progressive Congress, APC, and its candidate, Gboyega Oyetola.
