A former Governor Of Anambra State, Chukwumaemeka Ezeife, has slammed the impunity of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) in handling last Saturday’s Presidential Election, saying it was as if the electoral body wanted Nigeria to break up.
Dr Ezeife said this while speaking on Arise TV’s Morning Show on Thursday.
He warned that if Tinubu is sworn in as President on May 29, “that would be the end of the country.”
The former governor said that Nigerians have also show that they see themselves as one and want a new Nigeria.
According to him, Peter Obi of the Labour Party won the election, noting that the results declared by Prof. Mahmood Yakubu of INEC was “fake”.
Ezeife added that Obi’s victory has reinforced his belief in one-Nigeria.
“We should not allow this INEC’s recklessness to determine the future of the country.
Asked how the Southeast would participate in a Tinubu’s presidency, he said, “There would be no Tinubu administartion, God in heavens knows it. If he is sworn in that would be the end of Nigeria.”
“It is not the will of God that Tinubu would rule Nigeria; God does not hate Nigeria.
“The law is clear, the declaration of Tinubu as winner of the election is illegal.”
