The vice-presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, Ifeanyi Okowa and Datti Baba-Ahmed, have slammed last Saturday’s Presidential election as lacking in transparency.
The duo gave the verdict at a joint press conference on Tuesday in Abuja.
The vice-presidential candidate of the PDP, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State said “the election was a sham, and never free and fair.”
Recall that earlier, three opposition parties, the PDP, LP and the African Democratic Congress had demanded the resignation of the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu and the cancellation of the presidential and National Assembly elections over alleged violations of the Electoral Act.
