El-Rufai Fought To Join Cabal After Abba Kyari Died, ‘Aisha Buhari Member Of Powerful Faction’ – Ex-APC Campaign Director

A former director of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hajiya Najaatu Bala Muhammed says Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai once fought to become the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari following the death of Abba Kyari.

Mr. Kyari, who was Buhari’s Chief of Staff, died of Covid-19 complications on April 17, 2020.

Najaatu, who is now supporting Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said this on Monday while speaking on AriseTV’s morning show.

The Kano State born politician alleged that El-Rufai “did everything to replace Abba Kyati because he said otherwise some people are already boasting that they will choose the next petroleum minister; they will do this, they will do that; they will hijack everything.”

Najaatu also said there are factions of the cabal now in the presidency.

She further said the First Lady Aisha Buhari is a member of a powerful faction.

According to her, the reason Aisha Buhari was attacking Abba Kyari was because she was not part of the cabal then. “But she succeeded in throwing Mamman Daura’s things outside the Villa (Aso Rock), she physically threw them out.

“You remember the case of the shooting in the Villa? The gunshots in the Villa, who made that?

“Aisha Buhari’s cabal is “made up of her children and her brothers.

“She determined the appointment of who is now her brother, same mother, same father, who is now the DG at the Minting and Printing.

“She in fact sometimes instructs Service Chiefs. So who is she?” Najaatu asked.

She added that “El-Rufai is a shameless pathological liar and a serial betrayer.”

She referred to Obasanjo’s book, which she said described the character of the Kaduna governor, including how he betrayed his uncle and own brother.

Recall that Hajiya Najaatu had in January questioned the mental capacity of Tinubu to be president.

Since then she had come under blistering attack from the Tinubu Campaign. The latest was Campaign spokesman Festus Keyamo claiming that she followed the APC flagbearer to London to beg for appointment.

Keyamo said this in an interview with the Punch.

The office of the First Lady and that of Governor El-Rufai had yet to respond to Najaatu’s comments as at the time of filing this report.
