Three persons have been killed following an explosion in the Okene area of Kogi State on Thursday morning.
CHECKPOINTCHARLEY gathered the incident happened at the Oyinoyi’s Palace in Okenne Local Government Area of the state, the hometown of Governor Yahaya Bello.
This comes few hours to the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari to commission some projects in Kogi.
Police operatives of the Anti-Bomb Unit have been seen at the scene of the incident.
As at the time of filing this report, it was not yet certain if the explosion was target attack at the President.
While some persons attributed it to a bomb blast, others said it was a transformer blast.
