France’s Kylian Mbappe has emerged as the second player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final after lifting his team to level in the ongoing Mundial in Qatar.
Mbappe converted an 80th-minute penalty and equalised with an acrobatic volley a minute later and another penalty in the 118th minute.
The first hat-trick was scored by Bert Patenaude of the United States, playing against Paraguay in 1930.
While the last was Geoff Hurst of England in the final in 1966 against West Germany.
