At least three suspects have been killed as operatives of the Nigeria Police repelled an attack by hoodlums on Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office in Owerri, Imo State.
CHECKPOINTCHARLEY gathered that the attack took place on Monday morning.
The armed hoodlums, who invaded the facility in large numbers, were reportedly repelled by officers of the Nigeria Police Force and other security operatives in the area, leaving three of the attackers dead.
One of the hoodlums was reportedly captured alive.
The Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Michael Abattam, had yet to comment on the incident as at the time of filing this report.
