Kaduna-based Journalist John Femi Adi has offered to donate one of his kidneys to Sonia, the ailing daughter of embattled former deputy president of the Nigerian Senate, Ike Ekweremadu.
Announcing in a Facebook post titled “Willing to save a soul” on Friday morning, Adi said that he is making the donation based on God’s directive on the love of one’s neighbour.
He wrote, “I, Comrade John Femi Adi, a Kaduna based journalist and farmer hereby announce my ‘agape’ decision to donate one of my kidneys to Senator Ekweremadu’s beautiful daughter.Related News

On Monday, Sonia made a moving appeal for kidney donation.
The 25-year-old in an Instagram post, confirmed that she dropped out of the University of Newcastle in 2019, after being diagnosed with a rare kidney disease, FSGS Nephrotic Syndrome.
Sonia said she is currently in London, UK, where she receives five hours of dialysis 3-4 times a week.
Her parents are facing organ harvesting charges in the United Kingdom.
Recall that a 24-year-old female skit maker, Annastasia Olamma, had earlier this week also announced her readiness to donate one of her kidneys to Sonia.
