Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has declared an “all-out war against criminals”, vowing that the state “will win against the forces of darkness.”
Soludo said this in a statement by his press secretary, Christian Aburime as he reacted angrily to the beheading of Okechukwu Okoye, a member representing Aguata II Constituency in the State House of Assembly.
The Governor expressed shock and deep sadness over the gruesome murder of the lawmaker.
Okoye was abducted by unknown gunmen sometime last week and his decapitated body was found on Saturday where it was dumped at Nnobi in Idemili South Local Government Area of the state.
Soludo nnounced a N10 million reward for anyone with valuable information that would to the immediate arrest of Okoye’s killers.
He condoled with the kinsmen of Isuofia, promising that those responsible for this murder are probably the same criminal gang that attacked him and killed three policemen at Isuofia two years ago.
“Governor Soludo has consequently placed a N10 million reward for anyone or group that will avail valuable information that will lead to the immediate arrest of the perpetrators of this dastardly act. Anambra will soon be hell for these criminals,” the statement said.
