Former President Goodluck Jonathan has finally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential race.
A group of supporters from the North and Almajiris, led by Ibrahim Abdullahi, picked the expression of interest and nomination forms for the former President around 6:30 pm on Monday.
CHECKPOINTCHARLEY gathered that a serving governor credited APC Collection Account domiciled with Heritage Bank, with N100m.
The account number of the party with the commercial bank was stated as 5600007616.
The Bank, in a letter dated May 9, 2022 notified APC of the receipt of the amount.
The letter was addressed to APC National Organising Secretary and was co-signed by Heritage Bank Regional Head in Abuja, Daniel Oniko; and the bank’s Experienced Center Manager, Isaiah Ediae.
Jonathan, who became APC member last year, joins a long list of over 35 aspirants scrambling for APC 2023 presidential ticket.
The party’s presidential primary is slated for May 29.
