The Sarauniyar Ganye Chiefdom, Patricia Seubittere Yakubu has urged stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, including all aspirants jostling for political offices in 2023, to imbibe the spirit of unity and sportsmanship during and after the party’s forthcoming primaries.
The former commissioner for agriculture made the plea on Friday at the Muna Hotel in Yola during a meeting of party members, urging them to know that all power belongs to God, and He gives it to whomsoever as it pleases Him.
Hon. Mrs Yakuku, who is from Adamawa Southern senatorial zone, harped on Unity, urging party’s member to build a synergy of love, trust, and understanding.
She noted that winning all elective positions in the coming 2023 general elections is possible if they could adhere to these principles.
To realize this, she begged for love, unity, and cohesion, asking party numbers to support whoever emerges as the flag bearer or is elected the candidate seeking a particular office.
Yakuku also prayed for a United APC, undivided party loyalty before and after the party’s primaries.
She appealed to party members to bury whatever grievances, and avoid unnecessary feuds within the party.
