
Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has picked the All Progressives Congress, APC nomination form to contest the 2023 presidential election.
Emefiele picked the form on Friday and will declare his intention on Saturday.
CHECKPOINTCHARLEY gathered that Emefiele’s associates paid N100million for the nomination and expression of interest forms on Friday, at the International Conference Center, Abuja venue of the sale of forms.
Recall that there had been rumours that the Central Bank Governor will run for President in 2023 and his campaign banners were seen in different parts of the country.
However, Mr Emefiele had denied the whispers, claiming that his focus was on solving macroeconomic challenges, including fighting inflation.
