Female Passenger Aboard Ill-Fated Abuja-Kaduna Train Gives Birth In Captivity

One of the female passengers aboard the AK9 Abuja-Kaduna bound train, who alongside others was later abducted by terrorists after bombing the train, has given birth to a baby girl in captivity.

The terrorists, believed to be Ansaru, a breakaway of the Boko Haram sect, on Wednesday night released the picture of the newly born girl, one month after the passengers were abducted.

It was gathered that the woman was delivered of the baby girl two days before, according to a family source, who declined to speak to journalists on the matter.

The terrorists reportedly brought in their doctors to attend to the pregnant woman to ensure her safe delivery.

The photo showed the baby girl clad in a thick pink dress and a light lemon sweater cap, with her eyes closed.

The mother of the baby was said to be eight-month pregnant before she and 62 others were abducted by the terrorists on the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28, 2022.

She was one of the two pregnant women on board the ill-fated train.

Another woman who was pregnant and due for Caesarian Session was also among those kidnapped by the terrorists.
