
Families of kidnapped victims of the Kaduna train attack on Thursday held a press conference, begging the Federal government to help rescue their kidnapped loved ones.
Recall that the ill-fated train was attacked on March 28, by the terrorists. Eight of the passengers lost their lives in the attack. Over 100 passengers on board the train are yet to be accounted for.
At the press briefing held at the headquarters of the National Human Rights Commission NHRC, the distraught family members wept profusely as they begged the Federal government to help save their loved ones.
CHECKPOINTCHARLEY had reported that the Nigerian Railway Corporation said that “out of the 362 validated passengers on board the attacked AK9 train service on March 28, 186 persons on the manifest are confirmed to be safe and at their various homes.”
This leaves the whereabouts of 168 passengers still unknown.
Eight had been confirmed dead.
