Barely hours after terrorists attacked an Abuja-Kaduna train, bandits on Tuesday night, killed 23 people in separate attacks in two villages of Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Several others sustained gunshot injuries.
According to a resident, the bandits came in large numbers, shooting sporadically, forcing people to scamper for safety. But some were hit by bandits’ bullets.
Bandits had attacked nine villages in Giwa Local Government, killing 50 while several others had been abducted.
The Tuesday night attack is the fourth in Giwa Local Government area, since the month of March 2022.
Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige had yet to confirm the latest incident as at the time of filing this report.
