Reverend Father Joseph Aketeh of the St. John Catholic Church, Kudenda, Kaduna South Local Government Area, has been kidnapped by gunmen, suspected to be bandits.
The incident reportedly happened around 1.00 am on Tuesday.
A resident, Sunday Moses told Daily Post that “the kidnappers killed two security guards before gaining access to the Reverend Father’s house.”
He said a woman and her two children were kidnapped, together with the priest.
It was learnt that the terrorists invaded the church in large numbers and shot indiscriminately before gaining access into the church.
Kaduna Police spokesman, ASP Jalige Mohammed had yet to confirm the incident as at the time of filing this report.
