Troops Arrest Suspected Boko Haram Fertiliser Supplier In Yobe

Troops of Sector 2 Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai have arrested one Yusuf Saleh, a suspected Boko Haram urea fertiliser supplier at Bayamari village in the Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Nwachukwu Onyema, 38 bags of urea fertiliser, were recovered from the suspect.

Onyema said the fertiliser had been banned by the government because of its usage in the manufacture of Improvised Explosive Devices by terrorists.

The statement was titled, ‘Operation Hadin Kai: Troops arrest suspected Boko Haram Urea fertilizer supplier.’

Onyema, however, quoted the Chief of Army Staff as assuring residents of ending terrorism in the North East.

He said, “The suspect was nabbed by the vigilant troops following actionable information. The suspect is currently helping investigators with useful information.”
