Adeyanju Mocks Igbo Leaders As Ooni Of Ife Constitutes Committee On Igboho

Deji Adeyanju, convener of Concerned Nigerian, has commended the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enita Ogunwusi for the step taken on the arrest of Yoruba agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho.

The Ooni of Ife had constituted a 28-man committee, made up of eminent Yoruba leaders, to brainstorm on the issues surrounding the arrest of Igboho.

Reacting, Adeyanju said Southeast leaders, whom he accused of being afraid, should be ashamed.

The activist insisted in a tweet that self determination was not a crime.

According to Adeyanju: “BREAKING: Ooni sets up committee on Igboho, rallies south-west leaders.

“All hail the Oni, Igbakeji Orisa. Shame on SE leaders. Fear, fear people. Northern leaders are still defending killer herdsmen after they killed over 20,000 Nigerians. Self determination is not a crime.”

He was referring to the silence of Igbo leaders since the recent rendition of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, following his arrest in Kenya.

Igboho was arrested at the Cotonou airport in Benin Republic, on Monday night, alongside his wife Ropo as they tried to board a flight to Germany.
