The management of Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic in Zaria, Kaduna State, has shut down all academic activities indefinitely.
It also directs all the students to vacate the school with immediate effect
The shutdown followed Thursday’s attack on the institution by armed bandits who killed one student and abducted eight others.
Two lecturers were also abducted.
The acting Registrar of the Polytechnic Mahmoud Kwarbai said in a statement on Friday that the management decided to close the school due to the tension that the attack generated amongst the students.
The directive however excludes IJMB students, whose external examination by the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria will commence on Tuesday, June 15.
