President Muhammadu Buhari is back in Nigeria from the United Kingdom where he had gone for two weeks medical vacation.
The presidential jet carrying Buhari touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja on Thursday evening.
The President had travelled to London on March 30 for a “routine medical check-up”, presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina had told Nigerians in a statement.
Those that welcomed him included the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Muhammed Bello, and the National Security Adviser to the President, retired Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno.
Others are the service chiefs, acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, the Director-General, National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Rufa’i, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi, and other presidential aides.
After a brief welcome ceremony at the airport, Buhari was ferried across to Aso Rock Villa in a presidential helicopter.
