The Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Muhammed, has urged urged officers to use their rifles against the IPOB members, said that “police will not allow these criminals to succeed.”
The Nigerian Police Chief gave the order on Tuesday when he visited the Imo State Police Command to inspect the extent of damage after Monday attacks, declaring that there will be no hiding place for the members of Indigenous People of Biafra.
Adamu again said IPOB members were responsible for the Imo jailbreak and the razing of the state police command.
The IGP said there is “no hiding place” for the IPOB members.
“Those that were released by the attackers, I have been told, some of them belong to the IPOB group; the proscribed IPOB group,” he said.
“We are sending this message to them that there will be no hiding place. They will be re-arrested and many more of the criminals within that group will be arrested.”
