Fatima Shamaki, one of the 39 students armed bandits abducted recently from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Afaka, Kaduna State will no longer see her father when eventually released, if ever.
Her father, Ibrahim Shamaki has died on Friday of heart attack due to the ordeal of his daughter, family sources said.
They say the late Shamaki died of a heart attack after he fell ill shortly after the news of his daughter’s abduction was broken to him.
He reportedly died on Friday evening while his relatives were about to take him to a hospital for further medical treatment.
His death comes hours after the state government met with representatives of the grieving parents of the missing students at the Government House Kaduna.
As at the time of filing this report, Fatima Shamaki and the other abducted students are about to spend their 15th night in the captivity of the bandits.
The parents of the victims had accused the Kaduna State government of not doing enough to secure the release of their children.
