Gov Diri’s SSA Eulogies NUJ Chairman On His Birthday

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Douye Diri on Tourism Development, Mr. Tamaramiebi Abiri has felicitated with the chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Bayelsa State Council, Comrade Samuel Numonengi on his birthday, describing him as a true leader with compassion, ingenuity, creativity and humility, having genuine to provide strategy and direction for Journalists in the state.

In a birthday message to Comrade Numonengi, Mr. Abiri, who is an international tourism management expert, maintained that the NUJ chairman has proven mettle as a leader that has both intellectual capacity and charisma to inspire his colleagues to gather information and insight for the advancement of the state.

According to the SSA on Tourism Development, “the challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly.”
saying that Comrade Numonengi has all it takes to lead the members of the forth estate of the realm in the state and beyond.

While wishing the chairman a happy birthday with many, many good returns, he pointed out that: “Mr Numonengi is a very vibrant and talented journalist whose leadership style is quite different and exemplary”, saying: “Today, we honour both your wonderful life and your extraordinary contributions towards raising the standards of journalism. You are certainly one of the best gifts God gave to Bayelsa State.”

“Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that your impact lasts in your absence. Let’s light the candles and celebrate this special day of your life. Happy birthday,” he stated.

The SSA was represented by the Chairman of Travel Writers Corps of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Bayelsa State Council, Mr Piriye Kiyaramo, popularly known as “Mr Tourism” at the birthday event which took at the Ernest Ikoli Press Centre, Along Azikoro Road.
