Six persons are feared dead in an Air Force jet crash that happened in Abuja on Sunday around 10.35am.
Officials of the Federal Ministry of Aviation said the Boeing 350 jet had reported engine failure before it went down.
The incident was confirmed by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika in a tweet.
According to him, the military aircraft is the King Air 350.
He tweeted, “A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any.”
As at the time of filing this report, firefighters were on the ground battling to put out the fire at the crash site.
