
The Director-General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency, Mallam Ibrahim Inga, has confirmed the abduction of eighteen passengers of the Niger State Transport Authority by bandits.
Inga, who was on his way from Kagara for the revalidation of his APC membership in the company of the Chief of staff, said they ran into crime scene, at Yakila village in Rafi Local Government Area, where the bandit operated on Sunday.
The bandits were said to have spared a woman and her baby, while they took away other 18 passengers, who were heading to Minna, the state capital from Kotangora.
It was the woman with her child, who told them other 18 passengers on the bus had been abducted.
The State Police Command had not yet confirmed the incident as at the time of filing this report.
