Nigeria’s confirmed COVID-19 cases exceeded the 6,000 mark on Monday, as 216 new COVID-19 cases were in 14 states and the federal capital territory (FCT), according to a tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday night.
The new cases takes the total of COVID-19 infections in the country to 6,175 COVID-19.
So far, the disease has spread to in 34 states and the FCT.
According to the latest figures, while 112 people were discharged on Sunday, the number of discharged patients increased from 1,594 to 1,644 on Monday, and fatalities increased from 182 to 191.
They also showed a significant drop in the recovery rate as 50 people were discharged on Monday, the lowest recovery in almost two weeks.
