Nigeria has recorded 338 new cases of COVID-19, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on Sunday night.
It is the highest number of infections in on week. This was recorded in 16 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
This now brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 5,959.
The disease has so far spread to 34 stages and the FCT.
The number of discharged patients increased from 1,472 to 1,594, while fatalities increased from 176 to 182, the NCDC said.
