Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has announced the death of three coronavirus patients in the state.
Mr. Tambuwal disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday night issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Muhammad Bello.
The three that died were among the 10 people who tested positive for COVID-19.
The statement read, “Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has announced the death of three people as a result of the COVID-19 infection.
“All three victims, according to the governor, had histories of other diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and high blood pressure.”
The PUNCH reports that Sokoto recorded its index case on April 19, the second case was discovered on April 23, while the results of eight others who had contact with the index case turned out positive on April 26.
