Nigeria’s Coronavirus Cases Hit 40, Four New Infections Confirmed


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced four new coronavirus infections in the country.

The NCDC made the announcement via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov on Monday night, saying Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections now stood at 40.

Three of the cases are in Lagos State and one in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Two of these cases are persons who returned to Nigeria from overseas, NCDC clarified.

Subsequently, the state-by-state cases of the contagion is as follows:

Lagos- 28
FCT- 7
Ogun- 2
Ekiti- 1
Oyo- 1
Edo- 1

Total: 40 confirmed cases
