Controversial catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, purportedly performed spiritual cleansing of the Imo State governor’s office, as Senator Hope Uzodinma assumed office on Wednesday, security men and civil servants at the State Government House Owerri have told the Press.
The priest, who had predicted the victory of Uzodinma at the Supreme Court, was said to have spent at least three hours at the Government House as the latter took his oath of office as the new governor.
Mbaka, who reportedly came in company of another priest, his aides, and church members, prayed for the staff at the Government House including the security operatives.
The priest however did not go to Heroes Square Arena where the new governor was sworn-in.
It was gathered that he left for Enugu after the spiritual exercise at the government house.
Mbaka’s controversial prophecy in a New Year message that senator Uzodinma will replace Emeka Ihedioha as the governor of Imo State had elicited both praise and criticism.
