Festus Keyamo, has been redployed by President Muhammadu Buhari to the ministry of labour and employment, where he will now serve as a minister of state.
This was announced on Tuesday by Willie Bassey, director of information at the office of secretary to the government of the federation, who said President Muhammadu Buhari carried out a minor reshuffle of his cabinet.
It is understood that the redeployment became necessary following the cold relationship between Keyamo and Godswill Akpabio, the minister of Niger Delta affairs.
It is yet to be ascertained what the bone of contention was between Akpabio and Keyamo.
In any case, Keyamo will now work under Chris Ngige, the minister of labour and employment.
Tayo Alasoadura, who was the junior minister in the ministry of labour and employment, is now the minister of state for Niger Delta affairs.
Being a senior advocate of Nigeria, it is still unclear why Mr. Keyamo was not moved to ministry of justice as minister of state to assist Abubakar Malami, the attorney-general of the federation.
