The senior pastor at the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, has made himself available to the Nigerian Police for questioning over rape allegations levelled against him by Busola Dakolo.
CHECKPOINTCHARLEY understands that the interrogation is about to start at the Force Criminal Investigation Division (FCID) headquarters in Abuja.
It is expected that Fatoyinbo would be at the division for quite some hours as Dakolo’s questioning reportedly took about eight hours.
This is happening weeks after the cleric shunned an invitation extended to him by police officers probing the allegations.
He had also refused to appear before a panel set up by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria to probe the rape allegations.
According to him, he was advised by his lawyers not to appear before the panel because it was prejudiced and may not conduct an impartial session.
But in a U-turn on Friday, Fatoyinbo said in a statement that he could appear before the panel after the police investigations.
