Dozens of protesters under the aegis of #RevolutionNow protest, including a journalist, Victor Olugbenro were Monday arrested by officers of Nigerian Police, as they ruthlessly quelled the protest, which started at the National Stadium, Surulele, Lagos State.

THE ANTI-TERRORISM SQUAD reportedly arrested no fewer than 10 persons, including the journalist, who was only doing his job in covering the protest.

Police operatives manhandled the journalist, who works for SaharaReporters, before shoving him into a Black Maria van.

The protest had started as planned but was disrupted by the combined team of law enforcement agencies, whose agents used teargas and pepper spray on the protesters.
