I’ll Not Witch-Hunt Anyone But Will Uphold Rule Of Law, Accountability As Governor- Ihedioha

The Imo State Governor-Elect, Emeka Ihedioha has said his administration will not witch-hunt anyone or group who did not support nor voted for him or his party, but he made it clear that his administration will uphold rule of law, accountability, transparency and due process..

Mr. Ihedioha gave the assurance on Tuesday at his Mbutu Mbaise country home, when the leadership of the Imo State Council of Ndi Eze, led by HRM, Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri, paid him a courtesy Visit.

The governor-elect pointed out that has already extended hands of fellowship to his follow Governorship contestants at the polls immediately after the Independent National Electoral Commision(INEC) declared him winner.

He appealed to all Stakeholders in the State to join hands with him to rebuild Imo and transform it to the Imo of “our collective dreams.”

Ihedioha urged the Monarchs to ensure that they identify the bad eggs within their various communities, stressing that Imo under his leadership will ensure that the autonomy status of their various communities is restored

He further told the traditional rulers to always carry their people along, noting that his duty as a governor will be to abide by the wishes of the people.

Majority of Imo people wants the incoming governor to probe Governor Rochas Okorocha, who they accuse of raping the state financially, apart from misuing his powers to convert public property and lands belonging to private citizens.
