Imo State members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will again today go to the 305 wards of the state to elect its governorship candidate and others for Senate, House of Representatives and State Assembly after a failed first attempt.
The National Working Committee of the party had cancelled the earlier primary election, which Senator Hope Uzodinma won, according to the result declared by the chairman of the electoral panel, Ahmed Gulak.
Today’s exercise will be supervised by the new chairman of the electoral panel, Ibrahim Agbabiaka.
He told journalists that apart from the governorship primary, the party’s election for Senate, House of representatives and House of Assembly would go on at various wards simultaneously.
Governor Rochas Okorocha, who is backing his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu for governor, is contesting for APC ticket for Imo West senatorial district.
