Mr. Ahmed announced this on Saturday via his Twitter account, revealing that he has picked the Peoples Democratic Party nomination form for the senatorial primary.
He wrote, “In response to calls by my people and in keeping with my strong desire to upscale the excellent work we have done in all three zones of the state through effective and purposeful representation, I have picked up the PDP nomination form for Kwara South Senatorial District.”
Meanwhile, 105 delegates on Saturday affirmed a labour union leader, Issa Aremu, as the candidate of the Labour Party for the Kwara State 2019 governorship election.
The primary was held in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital and was supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, and national officers of the LP.
