Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, has contacted the US and United Kingdom emabssies to revoke the visa of senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio.
The PDP senator from Bayelsa, revealed this on Tuesday as he condemned the taking over of the National Assembly by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS and the Nigeria Police.
Mr. Akpabio, who is expected to defect to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress,APC, on Wednesday, is alleged to be one of the brains behind the siege, as senators loyal to President Muhammadu Buhari plot to instal him as the new senate president.
Murray-Bruce said, “I have contacted the UK and US Embassy to revoke the visa of Senator Akpabio or anybody leading this assault on this institution. We will ask them to revoke the visas of their wives and that of their children. They will not be allowed to leave Nigeria to travel to any nation in western Europe and North America.”
The pro-Buhari senators had relocated to a hotel in Central Abuja, where they intend to impeach Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, as at the time of filing this report.
