Manchester United have reportedly held talks with Paris Saint Germain about signing Neymar this summer.
Neymar is one deal Jose Mourinho was determined to get done before the transfer window closes, Independent reported.
For the Brazil international, Mourinho is ready to offload forward, Anthony Martial who is yet to jet back to the club’s pre-season tour at Los Angeles after welcoming his second child in Paris.
According to the newspaper Neymar is now key to Martial’s future.
The Brazilian star is tipped to leave PSG for Real Madrid despite insisting he will not be on the move this summer.
Neymar, however, is Real Madrid’s top choice to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Juventus at the start of the month in a £105million deal.
United have held talks with PSG about taking the 22-year-old off their hands but the Ligue 1 giants have refused.
But should they lose Neymar or Kylian Mbappe, that situation could change.
