A former Kano State Governor, Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso on Monday visited Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, at the Government House in Ado Ekiti.
A press release by Fayose’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, said Kwankwaso, who is now in the Senate on the platform of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC, addressed members of the Northern community in the state.
Senator Kwankwaso asked them to live in peace with their hosts and exercise their civic duties during the forthcoming governorship election on July 14.
Kwankwaso also decried the spate of killings in some parts of the country, noting that it was the responsibility of the government to secure the lives and property of the citizens,” the statement said.
On whether he would defect to the Peoples Democratic Party, the former Minister of Defence, believed to be nursing presidential ambition, said whatever was collectively agreed upon by members of the New PDP would inform his next line of action.
