The Senator representing Kaduna Central in the Nigerian Senate, Shehu Sani has said that Nigerians will determine President Muhammadu Buhari’s fate in 2019 and not Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Mr. Sani said this on Channels Television while responding to a question from Seun Okinbaloye on Tinubu’s assurance that Buhari will emerge victorious in 2019.
The former Governor of Lagos State had on Tuesday in Abuja assured Buhari of winning in 2019.
Tinubu said, “What you did today is bringing back hope. As for the question of a second term, you deserve it. We are going to work for it and we will win with you.”
But to Sani, “those who will decide the fate of Buhari and all those contesting are the electorate and no individual can say this is what the electorate will do.”
“They are the ones to put the government on a scale, gage it and filter to see whether it is worthy of being re-elected into office.
“There are issues that confront the Nigerian state at present, and it’s very important and significant for the government to address them,” he added.
