Herdsmen Kill Three In Benue, Few Hours After Osinbajo’s Departure

At least three persons have been killed and several others displaced after suspected herdsmen attacked another community in Benue State.

The latest attack happened on Thursday in Ukemberagya community, Gaambe-Tiev Logo LGA of the state – barely 24 hours after Vice President Yemi Osinbajo left Benue.

A resident, who gave his name as Joe told Daily Post that three people were shot and killed while several houses were also torched during the attack

He gave names of the victims as, Bem Torjem, Apedzan Chia and Ikpuku Peven of Tse Koya.

“The affected settlements are Tse-Mue, Torkaa, Mgbakpa, Torjem and Ifer villages.

“They came at a time farmers were on their way to the farms. There is palpable fear as everybody has now deserted the area,” he said.
