The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has snubbed senators as he on Thursday failed to appear before the Senate over the arrest and detention of Senator Dino Melaye and the killings across Nigeria.
Recall that the Senate had on Wednesday summoned Mr. idris for grilling in the Red chamber over Melaye and the insecurity across the country.
Instead of honouring the invitation, the IGP accompanied President Muhammadu Buhari on a state visit to Bauchi State.
Senators on Thurday condemned Idris for not officially communicating to them his inability to honour their invitation.
However, the lawmakers asked rescheduled his appearance to next Wednesday.
