The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved the 2018 Draft Budget,
The approval was given at a meeting of the council presided over by President Buhari.
This was disclosed by the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udoma, to State House correspondents at the end of the meeting.
He said the Executive would liaise with the National Assembly to agree on a date the President will present the document to the federal lawmakers.
With the approval, the way is now clear for President Muhammadu Buhari to present the document to the National Assembly.
However, Mr. Udoma declined to give details of the draft budget as approved. Nevertheless, the minister boasted that the executive had fulfilled its promise of getting the budget proposal ready in October.
