Barcelona star Neymar has moved to turn his back on the Catalonian club as he has arrived in China, from where he is expected to head to Qatar for his PSG medical to complete a deal that is set to become the biggest football transfer of all time.
The Brazialian landed in Shanghai and went straight into his promotional duties for the Replay new Fall/Winter 2017-18 fashion collection, posing in front of flashing cameras in China’s biggest city.
PSG are poised to trigger Neymar’s £196m (€222m) buy-out clause, in a deal that would not only smash but would double the current world transfer record fee Manchester United paid for Paul Pogba last summer.
Neymar’s return flight to Europe is to be routed through Qatar, where he will undertake a quick medical for his new club, according to Daily Mail.
Neymar could be unveiled as a PSG player this week, should things go according to plan
It is understood that while in Qatar, Neymar will also sign a €300m (£265m) commercial deal to promote the 2022 World Cup. This deal is to enable him be in a position to pay his own buy-out clause himself, meaning UEFA would then not be able to accuse PSG of breaking financial fair play rules.
Neymar is expected to sign a six year contract with the Paris French club and according to the deal, he will earn a whopping £500m per week.
It is been said that the Brazilian wants to go to a club where he stands a chance of winning world footballer of the year. Those close to the player, say that he thinks that as a result of the Messi factor, he would not be able to achieve this at Barcelona.
