The Nigeria police have swiftly responded to the recent Badoo cult killings by arresting the Baale of Agbowa, Ikorodu, Alhaji Alaka Abayomi and three others.
It is gathered that Mr. Abayomi was arrested for allegedly being a spiritual “godfather” to the murderous cultists. He was arrested by a police team, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Operations, Imohimi Edgal.
The team also uncovered and demolished a shrine said to be used by the cultists.
Five graves were discovered in the premises, with one looking freshly dug.
One of the Policemen, who carried out the operation, said the shrine, which was one of the biggest in Ikorodu, belonged to Abayomi.
He said: “The shrine is situated on a large expense of land surrounded by thick bushes. We saw give graves. One of them looks fresh. We couldn’t enter some of the rooms because they had iron doors.”
The arrest of Mr. Abayomi came about 24 hours after suspected members of the murderous gang killed a couple, Rotimi and Rita Adejare, and their two children at Oke Ota in Ibeshe.
The police is yet to official confirm if the Baale was arrested for being a spiritual “godfather” to the notorious Badoo boys.
